World Premiere: illuminare 3.0

This evening we took the wraps off the first phase of re-branding and repositioning our consulting services. illuminare Creative Design, the web usability and interaction design division of siteSatellite, launched their new site tonight. This is the first total redesign the site has had in over 2 years. With the change in business focus, we felt it was time to redesign the site. In the long-term we will be providing extensive client-extranet access for our customers via illuminare's site.

If you are a leading edge web designer looking for consulting work, let us know. We are always looking for new talent. Physical location is not critical to the development process we have established.

Phase two anouncements will be coming soon to a URL window near you.

Emerging Pixels: World Premiere

Something big has been brewing in the design labs of siteSatellite over the last few months. If you have gone to illuminare recently you would have noticed warning signs of "Something big is coming..." on the front door.

Well, this Thursday, June 21, we are taking the wraps off of the first portion of this "Something Big." You will have to tune in to find out more.

The death of a website legend

We were very sad to learn of Suck's untimely demise. For those of you who don't already know this, Suck started out as a skunk project by a couple of staff members @ HotWired a little over 5 years ago. When it started, the rest of the company was reading this mag with no idea who was behind it. The site's unique satire and commentary was part of my morning ritual after getting into the office. Suck will be missed.

Why I have I been so quiet?

Rumors of my death on the web are greatly exaggerated. siteSatellite is hard at work with several clients and in the midst of redesigning illuminare (our web consulting agency). Needless to say we have declared war on MySQL and PHP as well as configuration issues on the site's main web server.

Buy this book

If you haven't picked up Jeffrey Veen's (of Hotwired and Webmonkey fame) latest book, fire up another browser window and get it online. Veen has finally documented the business processes and development practices that he has been discussing on the web lecture and classroom circuit the last few years.
